IMPORTANT: Please read through these instructions entirely before attempting to follow them because clicking on the link will cause a new web page to open.

From the library homepage. Select the option of 'Search or Renew' on the Online Catalogue tab (as shown in this screen shot):

Once the cataloge page opens, you will notice a 'Patron Account' section in the top right corner of the page (as shown in the screen shot below):

• 'Patron ID' = the barcode number from your library card (no spaces) Under
• 'Password' = the last 4 digits of your phone number.

If this does not work, please contact the library during open hours by calling 905-985-7686.

Once you are in your patron account, you may have to use the sroll bar on the side of your browser window (as shown in the screen shot below) to scroll down the page to your checket out items.

Each item should have an 'Actions' column (as shown in the screen shot below). If your item says 'Select for Renewal' in this column you should be able to renew it simply by 1) clicking in the check box and then 2) clicking on the 'Renew' button.

An item may not be eligible for renewal for the following reasons, so please try and give yourself a few extra days in case the item cannot be renewed:

• Another customer has put in a request on that item
• You have reached your maximum number of renewals on that item

Once you have clicked the 'Renew' button you will get a page that tells you there is an attempted renewal on your item. A couple of more steps are necessary to confirm the renewal did take place and make note of the new due date.

First you need to select 'Activity' from the list on the left hand side of your screen (as indicated in the screen shot below):

Then look in the 'Due Date' column under your checked out items and make a note of the new date:
