SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

The Kent Farndale Gallery is professionally designed gallery located within Scugog Memorial Public Library in Port Perry, Ontario. It features both ceiling fluorescent fixtures and track lighting. The room measures approximately 7 metres by 10 metres, has a height of just over 2.5 metres and contains some hanging apparatus and display pedestals.

Both the responsibilities of the Artist and the Gallery are presented in a contractual agreement well in advance of the exhibition.

Artists selected to exhibit their work must have a sufficient quantity of work for display. The artist delivers and sets up the exhibition as agreed upon prior to the show with the Gallery Committee.

Artist invites guests to the Opening Reception at the Gallery (the artist distributes invitations and uses their own mailing list). A 20% Commission of all sales is payable to the library. Purchases may be made through the Library staff and Visa/MasterCard purchases are subject to a service charge.

The Gallery will provide publicity by means of press releases to various media and will host an Opening Reception. The Gallery is sometimes used for library programs and meetings while the show is open.

The Gallery invites submissions from emerging and established artists.

1. Letter of submission
2. Artist's Statement
3. Title and description of the proposed exhibition
4. Curriculum vitae / biography / exhibition list / awards
5. Ten photographs, printed digital images or CD, showing examples of all the different media or types of artwork planned for display. (There must be a sufficient quantity of artwork to warrant a solo or group exhibition in the gallery)
